City to begins documenting historic resources in North Salem!

In spring 2023, the City will begin a project to survey the historic buildings, structures, landscapes and objects of the Mack Park Neighborhood in North Salem. With help from a preservation consultant, Lisa Mausolf, this project will culminate in approximately 100 historic resources documented on inventory forms. These forms will include current photographs, historic images, architectural descriptions and historic significance statements. The project was partially funded by a Survey & Planning Grant from the Massachusetts Historical Commission. Planning Staff will work with the Mack Park Neighborhood Association to provide information about the project and to seek historic images and information on buildings in the area.
